James E. Ray President Jim Ray has substantial experience in manufacturing, both as a machinist, gunsmith and as an engineer. In founding Sangat Precision Jim is bringing to fruition a long-seeded desire to correct what he considers fundamental flaws in machining practices in American manufacturing. Too many organizations take an internally focused, self-serving approach to manufacturing. Jim realized that by dedicating the organization to taking a leadership role in serving the customer, the organization could reach a highly successful position in the market. Sangat Precision is the manifestation of Jim’s guiding vision. Jim received his Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the University of Colorado.
Michelle Jordan Chief Operating Officer Michelle comes to Sangat Precision with a wealth of experience in operations development and management. Michelle has held leadership positions in organizations ranging from Web-based B2B, to commercial real estate, to manufacturing. At each stop, she has proven herself to be an expert at building the foundations of companies and managing the operations such that the company functions with maximum efficiency and success. Michelle has oversight of all areas of operation at Sangat Precision and formulates the policies and overall direction as well as the daily business strategies in order to provide Jim with the company he has envisioned.
Phil Smith Sales & Marketing Manager Phil is an accomplished marketer and sales person, having participated in the establishment and growth of five startup companies during his career. With experience in precision manufacturing and Web-based software, Phil brings a unique skill set and background that is perfectly suited for the needs of Sangat Precision. Phil has completed a federally certified 4-year apprenticeship as a scientific instrument maker through NIST and the Joint Institute for Laboratory Astrophysics at the University of Colorado at Boulder where he had the opportunity to work with the world’s leading scientists in the area of atomic and molecular physics (including several Nobel Prize winning scientists). Phil received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration Suma Cum Laude from Regis University.
Eric Potter Production Manager Eric comes to Sangat with 17 years experience as a machinist. Eric participated in the 2-year work/study program at Woodward Academy and went on to work for them for 5 years. He then attended and graduated with honors with an AAS degree in Computer-Aided Manufacturing from Aims Community College. He worked as a mold maker for Front Range Tooling (QT Mold) for 2 years, at CSM for 2 years, and he has spent the last 6 years at a competing manufacturing company as their leading Aerospace Programmer & Machinist. As Production Manager Eric works as the lead Estimator & Programmer as well as running the Production Department.
